As part of the Programme d'échanges intermunicipalités des associations Québec-France et France-Québec the Ville de Mont-Tremblant and Châtel, its twin town in France, offer a paid summer internship for two Mont-Tremblant students between the ages of 18 and 29.
During the exchange, the students from Mont-Tremblant do their internship at an organization working in tourism or recreation in Châtel, while the Châtel students will have a job in the Culture and Recreation Department in Mont-Tremblant.
Since 2016, city council has assumed the cost of air transportation for each youth (valued at approximately $1,000).
Free reciprocal hosting for families is compulsory: the participants from here are accommodated by the families of the Châtel participants and vice versa.
To be eligible, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a resident of Mont-Tremblant
- Be a student age 18 to 29
- Be available for from six to eight weeks between the end of June and the end of August
- Send a curriculum vitae (résumé) with a covering letter no later than February 16, 2018 to the following address:
