Conditions

Who can acquire the citizen card?
Any Ville de Mont-Tremblant resident or taxpayer that is older than 7 that provides a proof of residence.

How to acquire a card?
In order to acquire the card, you need to present yourself at the reception of Town Hall at 1145, rue de Saint-Jovite. Since a picture will be taken, the citizen must go in person and show two documents: an identity card and proof of residence.

Identity card

  • Health insurance card with picture
  • Driver's licence
  • Student card with picture

Proof of residence:

  • Driver's licence
  • Municipal or school tax bill
  • Telephone, cable or electricity bill
  • Lease of the Régie du logement du Québec that has been in place for at least twelve months
  • Report card for the current year

Please note

  • Legal persons (company, trust, etc.) are not eligible to receive the card. 
  • Children must be with one of their parents and prove the family connection.
    Required documents: declaration of birth or report card.
  • Children over 18 must prove that they are still living with their parents.
    Required documents: driver's licence or student card

How to renew the card?
The same procedure must be followed and you must bring an identity and residency proof.

Lost card?
$ 10  fees are required to remake the card and you must bring an identity and residency proof.

At all time, the card is owned by the Ville de Mont-Tremblant, it can be revoked if abuse is reported or if the rules are not respected. The card is free, it is valid for a period of three years and it is not transferable.

Residents of Lac-Tremblant-Nord are entitled to all the privileges listed below except these:   

  •  FREE SKI to Châtel and Les Portes du Soleil
  • ACCESS TO TREMBLANT NATIONAL PARK

1) ACESS TO THE PARC NATIONNAL DU MONT-TREMBLANT

  • Yearly access
  • Dicounts:
  1. 20 % discount on renting a campsite, between May 10th and June 20th and between September 3rd and October 13th (except Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, Victoria Day and Thanksgiving);
  2. 10 % discount on the rental of four hours or more of canoe, paddle boat, kayak or snowshoeing depending on the season;
  3. 10 % discount on any purchase of $100 or more to the boutique Nature (can not be combined with any other promotion);
  4. 15 % discount on the skiing ticket (for a day) at regular price, Monday to Friday only.


2) ACCESS TO LAC MERCIER BOAT LAUNCH

  • Free to citizens of Ville de Mont-Tremblant on presentation of a Mont-Tremblant Citizen's Card.
  • $ 150, plus taxes, per day for non-resident. Fees are payable in advance at the Public Works Department located at 60, chemin de Brébeuf
  • Limit of five motor boats per day, on a first come-served basis, from June 24 to early September, between 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Accessibility is on a daily basis (morning entry, evening exit).
  • Personal watercraft or wakeboat cannot access the descent (except the resident wake boat).
  • Pleasure craft licence authorized by the Canadian Coast Guard.
  • Proof that the boat was washed (within a period of maximum 48 hours). The list of authorized companies is below.

3) ACCESS TO LAC TREMBLANT BOAT LAUNCH (the old Lac-Tremblant-Nord marina), with restrictions:

  • Free and accessible ONLY for citizens of Mont-Tremblant upon presentation of the citizen card.
  • Accessibility is on a daily basis (morning entry, evening exit). To know the opening hours, please call the Marina.
  • A maximum of 15 boats per day, according to the first-come, first-served basis, from June 23 to October 30th.
  • No personal watercraft or wakeboard boats are allowed.
  • The boat must be registered in the citizen's name and cannot be larger than 8 feet and longer than 21 feet.
  • Pleasure craft licence authorized by the Canadian Coast Guard.
  • Proof that the boat was washed (within a period of maximum 48 hours). The list of authorized companies is below.

7) Free SKIING at Châtel
Through the Mont-Tremblant (Quebec) - Châtel (Haute-Savoie in France) twinning, Mont-Tremblant Resort and the Commune de Châtel offer the populations of Mont-Tremblant and Châtel the opportunity to ski freely in the twin city.

The conditions of the agreement allowing the citizens of Mont-Tremblant to ski freely at Châtel and those allowing the citizens of Châtel to ski freely at Mont-Tremblant Resort are the following:

  • Citizens of Mont-Tremblant can ski freely the Forfait Châtel if they present themselves at the Châtel Tourism office and ask for ski tickets for their stay.
  • Citizens of Châtel can ski freely at Tremblant if they present themselves at the Tremblant Customer Service and ask for ski tickets for their stay.
  • This offer is also available to holders of seasonal passes to Mont-Tremblant resort and to citizens of Mont-Tremblant that hold citizen cards with a picture taken by the Ville de Mont-Tremblant.
  • This offer is available to Châtel seasonal ticket holders that have a citizen card with a picture taken by the Commune de Châtel. 
  • This is a five year agreement between Tremblant and Châtel that will ends during the 2019-2020 season.
