Director General's Office
The town manager, Madame Lise Julien, is responsible for execution of the strategic direction or orientation established by the town council. She encourages and maintains links that ensure excellence and professionalism in the relationship between the political and administrative teams. She also mobilizes employees in order to stay on course for achieving the objectives of the municipal administration.
The main priority guiding the Director General's Office is to offer citizens, part-time residents and visitors the best possible municipal services. The main direction or orientation of the Director General's Office is to maintain a balance between development and environmental protection, to develop the town while keeping in mind the many different realities and to bring about structuring projects in order to encourage and support the well-being of the community.
The town manager is also coordinator of the centre de coordination d'urgence (CCU - emergency coordination centre) whose primary mission is to take strategic action on a town-wide scale.
Many other tasks are related to this function. All of them work together to ensure a high level of service to the council, employees and citizens. All the city manager's responsibilities are conferred upon her by the Loi sur les cités et villes (law related to cities and towns) and its regulations, as well as other Québec laws, regulations and bylaws.
