DÉPLIANT - Summer Camp 2013
The summer camp is managed by the Service de la culture et des loisirs (Culture and Recreation Department). It is seven weeks in length and begins the first week in July. It is not possible to attend camp on a weekly or daily basis.
Many activities are provided for children ages 5 to 14. They are welcome starting at 7:30 a.m. and the day ends at 4 p.m. A daycare service is available from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.
GENERAL INFORMATION
We are fortunate to have three sites at our disposal: Curé-Mercure high school, the Domaine Saint-Bernard and the town's activities room. The groups rotate through the different sites daily. A detailed schedule is provided when you register. Numerous activities are on the program and a daily schedule is given to you each week by your child's counselors. A number of outings are planned, such as to the water slides, camping, the zoo, La Ronde amusement park, etc.
IMPORTANT TO KNOW
All of your children's personal things must be well identified. Every year a phenomenal number of articles of clothing are not claimed. You must provide your child with a good lunch, two snacks, water and sunscreen. The backpack must always contain a bathing suit, beach towel, a helmet and good shoes. A life jacket (vest) is required for all groups when they are at the town's activities room and at the Domaine Saint-Bernard. For children traveling by bicycle, it is essential to lock up the bicycle in order to avoid thefts. The helmet must be placed in your child's backpack. In-line skates are forbidden unless you are notified otherwise. The summer camp is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
AFTER-HOURS CHILDCARE
After-hours childcare is provided at the high school (polyvalente Curé-Mercure) and the salle des Loisirs (144 Rue du Couvent). The hours are from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Late fees will be charged after 6 p.m., at which time the service ends.
