Organization
The Police Department of the Ville de Mont-Tremblant was created in April 2001. It serves the Ville de Mont-Tremblant and the municipality of Lac-Tremblant-Nord. The stated population is 9 429 people, but if you add the ongoing influx of tourists, the number doubles or even quadruples depending on the time of year. Located 100 kilometres north of Montreal, the Ville de Mont-Tremblant is a tourist magnet in the Upper Laurentians. It covers a territory greater than 255 sq. km in size. In it there are many streams, rivers and lakes. The territory is in constant development; a new side of Tremblant Resort was developped and the casino has opened there in June 2009.
