Evacuation notice lifted

Le 21 April 2023

All streets closed due to recent flooding are now reopened to traffic.

The City is therefore lifting the recommendation to voluntarily evacuate residences isolated by the floods. If you consider it unsafe to return to your home, postpone your return until it is safe to do so.

Although the floods have subsided, the snowmelt is not over and in the event of heavy precipitation, water levels could rise again. We, therefore, invite you to remain vigilant.

When returning to your home:

  • Check that the building structure has not been damaged. If necessary or in case of doubt, have an inspection carried out by a building expert.
  • Make sure that no electrical component has come into contact with water. If necessary or in case of doubt, have an inspection carried out by a master electrician.
  • Ventilate and dry out your basement or crawl space if it has been flooded to prevent the appearance of mold or fungus.
  • Throw away any food that has come into contact with water.

For any questions or requests for assistance, call 819 425-8614. In an emergency or if your safety is in danger, dial 911.
