Memorandum of understanding with the golf courses

In May 2003, the Ville de Mont-Tremblant signed a memorandum of understanding with the Mont-Tremblant golf courses, a protocol ratified by the Québec Ministry for Sustainable Development, the Environment and Parks (MDDEP). This document provided the basics for unified environmental monitoring of the watercourses running through the golf courses, as well as the Diable River and the groundwater. Annual reports will be filed by the golf courses with municipal and provincial authorities. This will permit assurance that the impacts connected with the operating of golf courses are reduced as much as possible, from the standpoint of sustainable development. The active presence of the MDDEP in this matter allows access to range of environmental specialists working for the Ministry.
