Director General’s Office

The Director General's Office is responsible for execution of the strategic direction or orientation established by the town council.  It encourages and maintains links that ensure excellence and professionalism in the relationship between the political and administrative teams. It also mobilizes employees in order to stay on course for achievement of the objectives of the municipal administration.

The main priority guiding the Director General's Office is to offer citizens, part-time residents and visitors the best possible municipal services. The main direction or orientation of the Director General's Office is to maintain a balance between development and environmental protection, to develop the town while keeping in mind the many different realities and to bring about structuring projects in order to encourage and support the well-being of the community.

The Director General's Office is also coordinator of the centre de coordination d'urgence (CCU - emergency coordination centre) whose primary mission is to take strategic action on a town-wide scale.

Many other tasks are related to this function. All of them work together to ensure a high level of service to the council, employees and citizens. All of the responsibilities of the Director General’s Office are conferred upon it by the Loi sur les cités et villes (Cities and Towns Act) and its regulations, as well as other Québec laws, regulations and bylaw
