The Public Works Department is the Ville's largest department in terms of both budget and staff. It has close to 60 employees: blue collar, management and white collar workers who, together, ensure that the roads are maintained, streets leveled, potable water treated and sewers unplugged, the mechanical sweeper sent out to clean the streets, flowers planted, lawns cut, street lamps lit, public trash bins emptied, park benches repaired, all municipal buildings maintained and repaired, snow removed and the bus shelters cleared of snow ... plus, of course, proper maintenance of the fleet of about 50 vehicles.
The mission of the Public Works Department is to maintain a high level of service quality at all times and in all seasons, thus contributing to the well-being of the population.
The municipal garage of the Ville de Mont-Tremblant is certified Clé Verte.
