Forecasts from the Ministère de la Sécurité publique indicate that Du Diable River should exceed the moderate flood threshold over the next 24 hours. Rising water levels are expected to continue over the next few days and could reach up to 185 cubic meters per second, below the high flood risk threshold of 201 cubic meters per second.
Make sure you are prepared to evacuate your home if necessary. Have your 72h kit assembled, draw up your plan for relocating in the event of an evacuation, make sure to clean your land of any debris that can be washed away by the waters and secure any outdoor equipment such as a barbecue.
If you choose to evacuate your home, please call 819 425-8614 to let us know.
If you park your vehicle on a public road or private driveway during flooding, ensure you and your neighbours park on one side of the roadway to avoid obstructing emergency vehicle traffic.
