The Mont-Tremblant police department is actively working toensure compliance with government orders forcing the closure of all tourist accommodation establishments until April 13th, with the exception of hotels and certain campgrounds.
“I urge all rental property owners to cooperate and not to schedule any rentals during the lockdown period. By working together, things will get back to normal faster,” stated mayor Luc Brisebois.
To comply with the government order, secondary rental residences (such as Airbnb’s), hostels, and bed and breakfasts should have already closed their doors starting March 27, 2020, at midnight.
Note that all accommodation reservations for stays scheduled until April 13th, inclusively, mustbe cancelled.
The police department is remaining present and visible in the region in order to enforce government orders in the vicinity of businesses and tourist attractions. If you witness a tourist accommodation that has not complied with these guidelines, please contact 819-425-2723 (all information will remain confidential). Note that if a police officer determines that there has been a breach of the Public Health Act and an offence report is written, the person or company is liable to a fine ranging from $1,000 to $6,000.
