Flooding of Spring 2017:
- Government financial assistance for 53 municipalities, including Mont-Tremblant, and their citizens
- Hydro-Québec is taking measures to help its customers affected by the flooding
To obtain financial assistance
Citizens, businesses and communities could be eligible for financial assistance in the event of an actual or imminent disaster which may put people in danger or cause damage to property.
With respect to financial assistance for damage to property, only belongings deemed to be essential are eligible. You are, however, responsible for insuring your belongings when it is possible to do so. In other words, government programs do not replace coverage provided by insurers.
Financial assistance is also provided for other purposes. For example, a claim may be made for temporary shelter and the deployment of emergency response measures.
